Scandinavian Folk Flute Workshop 2025

Ralsgård & Tullberg welcomes you to Landskrona for the fifth Scanian Folk Flute Workshop!

Our flute course is suited to players of both keyed and unkeyed simple-system wooden flutes and Boehm-system silver flutes.
The focus is on Swedish folk music and Nordic flute traditions.
There will be lots of tunes and melodies from Skåne and we will work with danceability, rhythm / groove, folky articulation, ensemble playing and arranging.

A brief schedule for the course:
June 16 - 18: classes, workshops, concerts, excursions, sessions
June 19: tunesharing, classes and departure early afternoon

For those who want to experience more of the traditional music of Sweden we recommend a visit to the Degeberga Spelmansstämma, 13-15 of June. This is the biggest trad music event in Skåne. After attending Degeberga and SFFW there's a great opportunity to experience the Swedish folk- and trad music summer further north at festivals and spelmansstämmor like Delsbo, Östbjörka, Bingsjö, Boda and Korrö. These are only a few of many traditional music highlights in the summer.
